Texas Heat Lacrosse launched its first ‘Heat Elite’ for the 2011 high school lacrosse season
With the regular season winding down and teams fighting for playoff spots, Texas Heat Lacrosse launched its first ‘Heat Elite’ for the 2011 high school lacrosse season this week. The list, divided by upperclassmen and underclassmen, is compiled of the ‘best of the best’ in the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL). The lists are available at TexasHeatLacrosse.com/rankings/heat-elite.
“These are the top players to watch this season,” said Texas Heat Lacrosse Founder and CEO Jamie DeBole. “Players on this list have tremendous talent, determination and leadership. Some of the upperclassmen on this list have committed to big lacrosse colleges and universities and it just helps to show the growth of the sport in Texas.”
The lists are compiled from player performance statistics and coach nominations from around the league. It is set to be released annually.
“We are hoping it helps to spark a little extra motivation for the players each season, not only to make the ‘Heat Elite,’ but to be the best player they can be both on and off the field, as that is also taken into consideration,” said DeBole.
